Абстракт
Three numerical experiments were carried out to simulate the Black Sea circulation in 2016 for different types of state equations, which had the form of a polynomial depending on the degree of temperature and salinity. The linear state equation (experiment 1), the equation in the form of O. I. Mamaev (experiment 2), and the EOS-80 equation of state (experiment 3) were considered. The obtained model values were compared with measurement data of temperature and salinity, taken during cruises 87, 89, 91 of the R/V Professor Vodyanitsky in 2016. The worst estimates were obtained in the experiment 1, using the linear state equation, the results of the experiments 2 and 3 were close to each other. The area of relatively cold salt waters in the northwest, noted by observations in the summer season, was more accurately reproduced in experiment 2. The area of warm, poorly desalinated waters along the east coast, noted according to measurement data in the autumn–winter season, was more accurately reconstructed in experiment 3. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2026.
